OK. Here I go.
I am at the starting point of this battle to lose these rolls once and for all.
I took my "before" pictures last night and boy is it eye opening looking at a picture of me in all my glory. With tight fitting clothes, not hiding behind my kids, not pulling my shirt just right so it will "hide" my rolls. Ha. Who was I kidding? There is no hiding this!
As hard as it is to look at these pictures and realize that I still look at least 7 months pregnant when my baby is 7 months old...it is a dose of reality.
I am not pregnant and when we were on vacation we stopped for breakfast one morning before getting back on the road and an old lady stopped me with a confused look on her face. She wanted to know how old the baby was. I told her 6 months and the look on her face was very confused. I knew what she was thinking but didn't say. I knew she was thinking she was a little young for me to be so pregnant again already. She looked at my stomach and back at my face twice. I guess looking for confirmation that she was right in her assumption. Sad thing is she was wrong because I'm not...but she definitely had reason to think so looking at how I really look in these pictures.
I guess it's easy to look in the mirror only when I have to. It's easy to look past anything but my hair and face as I put on my makeup. I really don't look into the mirror too often. Like I have a crap ton of time to make myself up every day anyway right? I guess it's not surprising that I chose to ignore the fact that even though I only gained 7 lbs while I was pregnant with Miss M, and was 20 lbs down at my 2 week Postpartum appointment, I haven't lost another pound since! Yikes. How is that possible. Nursing moms lose a ton of weight from just nursing alone right? Nope NOT true. I have never been one to lose while nursing. Even with Cameron before I was this fat. Maybe it has to do with my thyroid being all screwed up and my hormones being out of whack....but even so, It's still normal for mommas to hold onto up to 10 lbs of baby weight until they wean their babes. Well, I definitely seem to tend to hold onto about 8 lbs on average for each babe. Just another excuse, right?!
I'm done making excuses.
I'm done trying to hide.
I'm done being the fat mom.
I'm done being the fat wife.
I'm done being the fat friend.
I'm done feeling like crap.
I'm done being out of shape.
I'm done not being able to fit into any of my clothes.
I DESERVE TO FEEL BETTER!
MY KIDS DESERVE A BETTER MOM!
MY HUSBAND DESERVES A BETTER WIFE!
I WILL GET TO MY GOAL!
I WILL BE HAPPY WITH HOW I LOOK AGAIN!
I WILL BE HEALTHY!
I WILL BE A GOOD EXAMPLE TO MY KIDS!
